What can I do about my manager?
Ive lived in an apartment for almost 7 months and never had any problems. Now that summer is here Ive been playing outside next to my 2 kids.I also watch my sisters 2 kids for 4 hours a week. My sons father comes over everyday to see the kids. Well my manager all of a sudden say i can have visitors that much and that theres too many kids running around. She told me I cant examine any kids at my house because thats a business and thats not allowed.(I dont get paid for it) She said I hold to go downtown and lessen the visitations so that my sons father can only come a couple hours per week. She makes national comments..example: I saw a black guy at the pool that looks like your boyfriend with dreads or braids and 2 kids that looked like some mixed that i see at your house to much(my boyfriends doesnt hold any hair..I dont think all black culture look alike lol) She also looks in my door when its open because she made a comment because my son was within his high chair eating a pb&j and get some on the floor and that it was a lot of wear n tear.( I shampoo my carpet weekly) She then said she wanted all the name and ids of my visitors so she knows whos around my apartment but they cant stay long or visit even every other light of day. She then started talking about how some black guys she doesnt know are staying near a lady who drive nice bmws and she doesnt know how they can afford it (hello maybe a job) and she said "oh after a few weeks of them staying here some cars got broken into contained by the area.... Trust me theres much more stuff like her accusing me of things when I wasnt around at the time. i talked to neighbors and she does it to her too!!! The director just filed a complaint against me because my mother and i(who lives in another apartment.) go to talk to her and she was saying these things and my mother get very angry. So the manager is filing a cmplaint against me because she didnt approaching how my motherw as talking. WHAT CAN I DO!? Thank you all.I am planning on moving to a more kid friendly place. And trust me the kids arent disturbing my neighbors as far as I see. They bring there kids out to play near us also.Even people without kids come!

Move. I don't mean to come across as rude but that really is your only option. She have a right to tell you that you can't babysit in your apartment, paid or not, it's still performing a "service" and like mad of standard lease agreements prohibit that. She can't make you change your visitation, but she can limit how lots kids are running rampant around the property, they could be disturbing other residents. She's racist - nothing you can do about that unless she goes as far as to record a false police report on you - then you have legal option...but for everything else - the answer is to find other housing.
unless there's something surrounded by your lease or rental agreement, i don't think she can do anything about who visits or how abundant people are there. As for her looking in, a short time ago close the door.
Managers have extraordinarily little legal control on who you have visit you, Ask your superintendent to show you in your lease where it says you can hold only a certain number of visitors per sunshine and how long they are aloud to stay at each visit,ask her to show you in the lease where on earth it is required that you give Names and IDs of your quests. If those things are not in your lease or on a printed set of rules of the complex that you signed.after she has no business telling you anything.Also contact the managers Boss!!! Also remind her that if she continues invading your privacy and making cultural comments that you will contact the housing authority and file a complaint on the basis of racial nouns and violation of your civil rights. You can also tell her that on top of that you will contact your local building inspector and the condition inspector to make sure every single thing in her complex is up to standard code. Also share her you want to See the certificate of occupancy from the state for that appartment...by law she have to have one for that apartment or it is considered an illegal dwelling...and you can break the lease without spot and not be resopnsable for any payments,and they cant hold your security deposit either. 90% of the time Landlords who rent apartments dont have an up to date Cert of tenancy... Also carry a camera with you everywhere,when she is lurking near by watching you pocket a picture of her,when she stands and looks in your door take a picture,everytime she make a tribal comment write it down along with the date and time. Basicly a tenant can cause severe headaches to a negotiator and be a real pain in the ass and its adjectives legal.... I would also suggest talking with your neighbors and banding together against the boss doing those things illegally.. And I would also look for a new place to live in the process.
