No, that is not teaching that is instructing. You will create a robot. Much of the way a person learns is by taking their experiences and beliefs and interpreting what they learn in the world. Look at books, if there was no ideology, how would they get meaning from the books.

I believe that children who are not taught right or wrong, which is purely based on ideology, will be more easily manipulated in the future, for better or worse. If they don't have ideological views, they can be instructed what to believe, because that is all they know how to do.

Nop ... cause ideology is a matter of the way you look upon the world, society, etc. It's a mind-set that no one can avoid, even you. By the time you want to educate your children with no tendency of any ideological background, thus you have your own ideological thinking. It is just like a choice not to choose any choice, but you've chosen a choice not to choose. Got it ? :))

If he mature and want to choose his own ideological way, then it is nothing wrong to educate him with a particular ideological background. (but remember, like i said before, it's unavoidable). The problem is sometime parents doesn't want their children to have a different ideology like the one they have, but if you already have made decision to let you children to choose any ideology they like then there is no problem at all.
By ideology, if you mean religion I don't think its vital for a child, but you have to have a base of morals to teach the child, ie stealing is wrong, we dont lie, be good to others etc etc etc. these have been the building blocks of society & communal living so are necessary for all kids to learn and grow with. While religious faith can help a child understand death or loss but a lot of people with a religious ideology still dont necessary understand these trials of life...

No matter how unbiased you try to be with children, there are always unconscious ideals you impart to them. Your reactions are always under scrutiny from children and you can't help but give away your thoughts and feelings on things.
I think so long as you get the child to be itself with no fear regardless of what others think or what the social norm is then no matter how you educate him, he should discover his own ideology eventually. He will understand that although thats what you think this is what his opinion is
