Human rights & smoking?

If smokers believe that is against their human rights to ban smoking in public places? And non-smokers believe they have a right to tobacco free public areas! What is the fair altenative to the smoke ban?
simple there needs to be place's that cater for both groups needs the none smoking bars/clubs restaurants and the smoking pubs/clubs
smoke outside.

In response to Cassie T: I'm curious where this notion that there is no scientific data pointing to harmful effects from passive smoke comes from. I just did a quick google search and found a score of scholarly articles on the topic.

I would certainly prefer that smoking was prohibited in public spaces, primarily because most smokers are very inconsiderate of others. When I was a smoker I would ask if it would bother people and not smoke if it would.

If we're going to talk about this in terms of human rights, don't you think it is also arguable that heroin users have a right to use their drug of addiction?
Smoking away from others, this allows the smoke to actively smoke and the non-smoker to not be subjected to it
What is happening now!! No smoking in public places - and if you want to smoke then do in in your own space!!

This comes from an ex smoker!!
How about science?

There is not a scrap of pure scientific data that proves second hand smoke is harmful. It's all a PR campaign.

I'm not a smoker, but I'm not in favor of taking away the rights of smokers over phony science.
True enough, smoking is like suicide... so YOU SHOULD NOT SMOKE at all.. and as a non - smoker, if we putting ban on smokers then actually we are giving them and their families a big favor!!
I think it was fine the way it was. With restaurants having a separate room for smokers. Non smokers crack me up. They go on and on about the second hand smoke, when in all actuality, they are creating, along with everyone else, a much worse problem. All the toxins from our cars when we drive is much worse on our ozone layer and air than my second hand smoke ever thought about being. And they drive too! OOOHHH! Now should we all quit driving?! They put the mufflers on cars so we can't smell it and they think the problem is gone! Wrong! Not so, still there, just not as noticable! Bet they don't think of that do they!? But yeah, it was fine the way it was.
