sending money to someone you met online?
My best friend has been chatting with an elder man online, and he wants her to move to where he is, and he said he will send money to nouns the trip. My friend said she is going to just take the money and spend it on medical bills, but I am worried that she is going to get contained by trouble. Is that legal? She says there isn't much he can do more or less it, but I am not so sure. Are there any laws protecting the man sending the money? Can he get her within trouble?
Best Answer:
pocketing by deception by taking the money to move to where he is she is agreeing to use it for that purpose alone i would seriously talk to your friend give or take a few moving close to a person she doesnt know. she thinks she does but in trueness hes probably not who he claims to be
I'm pretty sure there are no laws against her taking his money. If he's foolish enough to convey money to someone he met online, then that's his problem. But she'd better make sure he can't track her down. He could very economically be a mentally unbalanced stalker type and all the laws within the world don't do you much good at the moment when some "spurned lover" nut job breaks into your house and pulls a knife on you.
Of course he can get her in trouble. He can file a police report and she can be arrested and criminally charged near obtaining money by false pretenses, or with theft be scheme, or whatever your State calls it. He can also sue her in civil court for his money hindmost. Richard
