What action needs to be taken?
If I share custody with my ex but now do not feel it would be apt to allow him to go back to his dad's what action should I nick to legally protect him? I live in Florida. If you have any links beside info that would also be helpful.

These are great answers, but how do you go about petitioning the court? Do you need a legal representative?
If you are in alarm of his mental or physical safety - a restraining order might fit that bill. Or go to the court and ask to ammend the the integrated custody order and let the judge prefer
Petition the court, justify your reasons for concern and request the intercede amend the custody order. Depending on the severity and circumstances of what you are protecting him from, you may consider trying to obtain full custody and attempting to restrict the visits to your ex altogether. Edit: Me - Not required but for something this esteemed, you would be well advised to get one to enhance your likelihood for a successful outcome.
