Does an employer have to enforce the non-smoking law in the cab of a truck??

If your company policy is no smoking in company vehicles or if you are smoking in your vehicle on company property then the employer may terminate or discipline you per their guidelines. I've heard a truck driver in California was cited while backed to a dock for smoking a cigarette in the cab of his own truck. This was from the driver himself. So yes the employer may be required to enforce regulations depending on the municipality in which you are located or face fines themselves.
