Do employees have to electronic sign in/out by law?

I work at some place and they don't let me sign in/out on the computer as I should to record how many hours I worked and they do it by their own agenda. For example, if they have me on the schedule to work from 8 to 2 but if i stayed till 2:15 minutes more. I don't get salaried for those 15 minutes so Is there is any law that says I own to sign in/out by an electronic signature. Thank You :)

It doesn't matter what state you work in, if an hourly employee works overtime to be precise not paid by the company, it is illegal...period. They don't hold to set up an "electronic sign in/out" for you, but they do need your verification that the hours they are paying you for are correct. Do you sign off on the timesheets they use to total the hours at all? Do you clock in or out with a punch card? If not, you should keep hold of notes of your correct hours and bring up the discrepancies to your supervisor. Keep in mind though, that if they are not allowing overtime, and you choose to work late short approval, you are supposed to be paid for that time, but you can be disciplined for not following their policy of no overtime as well. It's a Catch 22 situation here. You can also call your local labor board. Look online for your state and force out labor board. Find a number you can call and ask them questions. They are nice people to chitchat to, surprisingly, and willing to help out the employees contained by most cases. They are there to keep you protected.

If there be a law it would be on the state level. I would have to articulate the state wouldn't create a law like that one.
Employers are legally allowed to implement and enforce possible procedures for all aspects of business including signing in and out.
