how do you get a new law passed in a small town?


we currently do not have a jack brake law in the city. i would love to grasp one here. what do i do to get the city to make it against the law to use jack brakes contained by the city limits.

I think you mean jake brake. My guidance is to draft a petition clearly stating jake braking is a problem. Be as specific as possible about the problem. Have as many residents sign it and have it notarized. it may not hurt to hold a lawyer look it over. I am NOT a lawyer, but I believe jake brake is a trade mark and it may be concrete to argue jake braking is the problem. You may better off questioning your town's noise ordinance.
