Was this legal?
When I was 13 I changed the price on something in a department store (young and stupid) and of course I get detained for it,I remember the store loss prevention worker had me sign things and wouldn't tell me what I was signing,in a minute when I look back was it legal to own a 13 year old sign things she didn't know what she was signing? Also,was it decriminalized to have a 13 year old sign anything at all?
No! They needed to contact your parent or official guardian. They could have been arrested for doing that. And for not telling you what you be signing they would have gotten in even bigger trouble. Anyone under 18 cannot sign any type of endorsed document. It wouldn't be admissible in court. They probably were scaring you by have you sign stuff.
Depends on what you signed. You can not sign any legal contract, but they could have you sign a statement saying you will not progress back to the store. Since they do not need your permission to Ban you from the store it be just to make you sweat it out for a while. I don't think it be legal and i know you didn't know better then but you shouldn't have signed it short a guardian there. I would see if u could figure out what it was.
