No court order for child support. Do I have a right to back child support?

My children (19 & 21yrs) have not seen there father in approx 17 years. We were not married. There was never a court order about child support. Now that the youngest has past 18 'Dad of the Year' has shown up out of the blue. Do I have a right to take him to court for back child support? BTW, we live in Texas.
see an attorney asap.
you must be compensated for the money he owes you.
he needs to get papers while he's in town.

i wish you all the best.
Ask an attorney is the only suggestion I have. Your motive Isn't going to help your children because they are already grown! But to punish a dead beat dad isn't a bad idea either.

Answers:
I highly doubt it. You should have filed for child support when your children were minors. They are adults now and aren't entitled to child support. If there was never an order,he isn't required to pay.
Not likely. One thing that the court would want to know is why you didn't ask for child support when the event first happened.
