When are gay marriages actually official in CA ?
can same sex marriages legalize an immigrant (my boyfriend is from another country) and we plan to reside in California
when you start asking the Government important questions, then they will standardize the marriage so you will pay all your attention to your boyfriend and forget in the region of the political questions that you were going to ask Hopefully never. Marriage is a sacred bond between a man and a woman.
Its on hold and there is a bill coming up in November for population to vote and make a marriage between a man and a woman.

Actually 5:00pm Monday June 12th the State of California will start performing Gay Marriages.
Unfortunately for you boyfriend immigration is a Federal issue and the Federal Government refuse to acknowledge Gay Unions. So his status will not change.
