A Doctor's office receptionist disclosed that I visited the doctor to a relative - is this ethical?

NO and she should be reprimanded for it.
No, it was a breach of your privacy rights.
Are you sure? Sometimes when I suspect someone has done something and want them to admit it, I will act like I already know. You know, like telling them that the receptionist already told me. Then they go off about the receptionist and I have my answer.

Just a thought.
