What happens if you are the only possible witness of a crime?
Ok, so a friend of mine just watched her neighbors shoot an innocent stray dog; which is illegal where on earth i live. She lives basically in the middle of nowhere, and she is the only possible witness, because its solely her and her neighbors. She wants to turn the people in for animal misuse, but she is afraid to, since she is the only possible witness, and they would know right away it was her who told. Advice? : ) thanks -- Please, lawful answers!! I want to get this resolved and these people in incarcerate, where they belong! The dog wasnt in poor condition, these people are a bunch of white trash a**holes

If she is the one witness next it becomes her word against the neighbors. Without collaborating witnesses or evidence the case is thin. Find the poor dog and enjoy the bullet slugs taken from him, that is great collaborating evidence. But her as the only witness it is thin. Hope those neighbors progress to jail, animal cruelty needs to stop!
If your friend is so pro animal, why didn't she take guardianship of the poor hungry stray dog before the neighbor put it out of it's misery? The dog must have been surrounded by bad shape to risk breaking the law to put it down. It sounds like a crime of compassion to me.
