Why do you think that marijuana should remain illegal?

It seems that a lot of people here are anti-marijuana. To those folks I would like to ask: why do you think it should remain illegal? I take that it is not good for you(although better for you than most medicines but that's beside the point), but why should something be illegal only because it's not good for you? Should fast food be banned because it isn't upright for you? Should you get arrested at a concert for head banging because you are slaughter your braincells? Any feedback would be appreciated, but please don't just list facts about why it is doomed to failure for you. I understand it is bad for you, I just don't recognize why that should make it illegal. (a)Pfo- There are benefits from it being legalized. It would enjoy an extremely high amount of taxes going towards the government, a great reduction contained by organized crime, and also we would finally have a working anti-nausea medicine.

Because the cartel overlords need the $$$$ to maintain their hilltop estates and lear jet . You aren't one of those mean people that would deprive them of that are you ? :) Legalizing smoke would just mess up the full underworld's existence . >
I see hugely little benefit in legalizing it. If we can agree that it's bad for us, later how do we go from there to legalizing it?
have you ever see the old american propaganda like "refer madness"...even then americans needed something to be afraid of..presently we have muslims but once we become afraid there is no turning back on our fears
I personally muse if alcohol is legal, then marijuana should be. there isnt too much of a difference as far as impairment go. sorry, i know you want people to answer who dont agree, but just thought id throw contained by another opinion.
It doesn't trademark any sense man, just brainwashed idiots. The people who want it illegal are indistinguishable people who support "small government" and say Obama is depriving us of freedom.
