Australian visitor's visa - electronic visa - big problem?
I am a Hongkong citizen holding British (BNO) passport, bought a 1 year returned e-ticket from Cathy Pacific to Australia and they applied an electronic visitor's visa for me. The airline staff told me the visa is good for 1 year with multiple entrances, did mentioned how long each trip I can stay. So, I made a mistake bridging the visa by over stayed in Australia for more than 5.5 months instead of actually only allow to stay not more than 3 months, when I realized it, I turned myself to the Australia immigration department in Sydney, now they set a restriction to me that I will not be able to apply for visitor's visa in the next 3 years.
Most of my very closed relatives and friends are in Australia, that's why I want to come very offen.
I am an semi retired person aged 58, really like to come to Australia as much as possible with my relatives and friends but not to wait till 61 years old.
Please help how and what should I do to waive such restriction set by Australia immg.dept ?
Answer:
