How do you feel about the protest against that law?
the one that makes border crossing a felony
A lot of people cross the border just to work and make money for their family in Mexico. It's a lot easier for them to make a larger amount of money in the US. And they do jobs that no one else will do (I'm sorry to say it, but it's true). They're harmless and they're just trying to get by, like you and me.
There's a movie called 'A Day Without A Mexican' that tackles this subject well. I agree something should be done, but making it a felony is going too far.
1- I support free speech, but these kids need to be in school, where my taxdollars are paying for their education. They can protest on their own time!
2- Why do these kids think that adults are going to listen to them? (At least, the rational ones). They can't even vote! When they can vote, then they can protest to their hearts' content.
3- If they knew the whole issue, many of these kids wouldn't be out there. This country has no issue with legal immigration; it's the illegal immigration that we are trying to control.
