Am I required to go to court for an infraction?
I received a ticket today violating V.C 21950 (a). It was marked an Infraction and not a misdemeanor. I am surrounded by CA and I was wondering if i have to appear at court? Can I just communication in the bail and go to traffic school? The cop discoloured a date and place for me to go to court. But i did sign a statement that said, "Without stating guilt, i will go to court on the time and place noted." So does that mean if i said i be guilty and paid i dont have to go to court?
Milan is correct, if you are an mature you do not have to go to court and you should get a courtesy identify soon. (If you are a juvenile you will have to go to court with a parent.) I am posting to make available you a bit more information. The state-wide schedule calls for a fine of $146 for this offense. Traffic school will cost a bit more but hold it off your record.
In many counties you can thieve care of everything on line, including traffic school. Do a prod for the name of your county and "superior court," go to that web site and follow the "traffic" join.
No. You do not need to go to court for an infraction.
In about 2 weeks you will receive a sense in the mail stating the amount of bail you need to dispatch in to take care of the ticket and it will bequeath you the choice of going to traffic school, giving you the directions how to do it and the fees for that as well. I'm not 100% sure for state you live in, but in general you can go to court house and pay fine and you won't have to move about to court. they will give you a reciept showing fine paid. Unless you want to dispute the ticket, then you will hold to go to court.
