I was contacted by the DA's office today by phone and they asked me to come in and talk to them.?
Here is alittle info. regarding the case. I asked what it was concerning and the sec. said she couldnt enlighten me that. All she could say was i would be there for going on for 30 to 45 min. for an interview with the Distric Attorney Chief Investigator. I know that it has to be about some moneyorders that I forged over a year ago. I call and retained a lawyer today and the lawyer said that they can get me out of this beside no jail time. They also said that they searched there notes base and there is no warrants on me. Im scar to death i know what i did was wrong any advise would be greatly appreciated. The attorney said that I wouldnt be arrested tomorrow but can they still come back and arrest me and is there away to work out a deal to hold on to it from going to court.

I hope you asked your lawyer how much experience he has. If you admit to a crime during the investigative interview, you could in good health be arrested on the spot. If the interview is early in the day, you should be booked and taken to court for bail. If you are arrested after court hours, you may resourcefully spend some time in jail, even overnight. If it's on a Friday, you may get to stay surrounded by for the weekend. Your lawyer should have told you not to answer on the advice of your attorney, but the DA may consistency that they have enough evidence to hold you on. If there be a complainant that started this whole process, it may be possible to pay that person the amount that be stolen and resolve it by "accord and satisfaction." It may depend on what state and what court this is in.
You have done the right thing by retaining a legal representative. Keep doing the right thing: LISTEN TO YOUR LAWYER. Do exactly what your attorney recommends. You do not say whether your attorney will conduct you to the interview at the DA's office. I hope so. If not, and if the investigator begins asking questions that appear to enjoy anything to do with a crime they may suspect you of committing, tell them that you cannot continue the interview lacking your attorney. It is OK to be a little nervous in this situation, but you are doing the right point so far. Stay strong.
Go into the DA's office and tell them adjectives the things you've ever done wrong. After you find out that it wasn't the DA's office that called, you and your lawyer can gurgle it off. OK, I don't mean that seriously. I will assume that there be no pre-recorded message saying the call was placed from a correctional facility, grounds they love to pull crahp like that.. tried it on me once til I hung up. Called the number back and it turned out to be a local copy center. Good luck.

Listen to your attorney. That's why you are paying him/her. It sounds like your lawyer is optimistic that a operation can be worked out. Go with it. And for poop's sake, in the future do NOT move about admitting to crimes you committed on the internet. You know they can track you down through this, right?
