Does anyone know who I contact in the State of Virginia?
My Husbands paycheck is being garnished for childsupport from another state -- however with this person taken out his take home check is no more than $42.15 a week. His employer said that they are taking out what they should be. I know that there is a percentage that they can take out but I am not getting any be with his employer -

contact Friend of the court. The percentage thing is used to determine the amount when the order is issued. Im thinking he was making more when the child support direct was issued. In order to get the amount reduced you hold to go back to court and get the child support directive ammended. Sometimes, the orders say an amount or a percentage. You need to converse to a family lawyer and check the custody paperwork.

I would have to look it up later I'm on my approach out the door, but go to google and search for the fathers rights association they will know also give the name the family court for the county this is happening in and they will enlighten you for sure.
