How can I erase a criminal record?

Only through the courts...
A hole stikning lot of community service

Answer:
Legally- you can't ERASE it completely- it'll still always be there. Do stuff like community service to cover up the bad stuff. Illegally- Tap into the computers at the police station. (Not recomended considering you want to erase your criminal record)
have it expunged
Stop breaking the law.
I don't what kind of criminal record that you have but you can by doing a lot of social work and lots and lots of it and get proof of it and take it to your district court and the magistrate might erase it.

I heard that's true with traffic offenders and other petty criminals but I dint know the level of the crime you committed.

I hope everything will be great for your future and I am happy to see someone erase a bad past and start a new life

Good luck my friend
by not getting one in the first place!
assuming in USA, depending on the crime and the time passed since the crime it may be expunged

now a little insight, even if it is expunged you arrest will not be erased from the large data base companies that collect public information for employers so most likely unless the legislator changes the law whenever a employer asked if you been convicted no matter how long has it been they will find out
A CCH is forever, dude. Forever. It'll never go away. Period.

Can you say 'NCIC'?
There is no real way to erase a criminal record unless you can have the judgement overturned. If you are worried about employment applications, generally they only go back 7 years, so anything before that won't show up. Many employers ask about criminal records but you would be shocked how many do not check them. However, lying on an application is cause for being let go.
What did you do? And why do want to erase it? Now that is the big question !!!
