' If it should become necessary in the performance of your duties, could you use deadly force '?
no way hosea,
violence is never the answer
You mean off some *****?
yes. I would not hesitate to use deadly force if the situation called for it.
Yes, and you can define my duty as defending my home and family.
Well, since I'm a nurse using deadly force is kinda frowned upon - go figure.
In my duties as a wife and mother - absolutely. If you are a threat to my family I would have no problem taking you out.
I work in a middle school.
Answer:
Sure. I've qualified to carry a 38mm, a 40mm, a 9mm, and a 357 as part of my job. Hopefully I'll never, ever have to pull a weapon, but if I need to, I would do so.
I go on home visits to the homes of my clients, and wear a bulletproof vest when I do so, and have one of my pistols strapped to my belt. Right now, I work with juveniles, so there is less risk than when I was assigned to our adult division, but I still have my equipment with me in case it is needed.
Yes I have, an may again. Its amazing that you would think many things go through your mind at that point. Actually you really dont even deal with it mentally until its done.
When I went to in-service training the instructor ask me if I could shoot someone. I replied ' absolutely', he then ask the guy beside me. He said ' well if'.... 'BANG your dead' said the instructor and ask the next guy. He said 'That depends'.... 'BANG your dead, the only guy here that is alive is Fred, because when the time comes you don't have time to thank about it. You have to make that decision BEFORE you put on a gun!
absolutely! if i am a cop, and am threatened by some young, violent drug addict with a weapon, then yes! i would shoot to kill! no doubt, the job of a big city cop is dangerous and they hae every right to use deadly force if needed! what if the guy is 6-8 350 and on angel dust and is violent? what do you do? you shoot him and kill him, that is what! so you can go home to your family and live to see another day! we should be grateful to cops in america!
Absolutley. Of course, I'm in retail, so I might not have the option. (I might want to!!!!!!)
You betcha.
Yes, if I hired on for such a job, I would have to honor the requirements of that job. Having suffered an attack on the street that required a hospital visit, my opinions on that subject changed
Been there, Done that, and would do it again in a heart beat!
I would leave that decision to the Officer. If he feels his life is threaten he should be allowed to use lethal force. However, it is possible to hit there target in spots that would disable the suspect instead of killing him; at least you won't have on your mind that you just killed someone. I'd be a bit concerned if an officer has the notoriety to shoot his targets to kill or basically thinking like a soldier, unless the suspect is an immediate threat to you and others like maybe taking a hostage than a head shot would be recommended because that is a almost guarantee that he will stop all actions. But if you have some kid who is waiving a gun around or being plane stupid than you should shoot to disable him not kill him. Unless your crazy, no officer wants to go home with on his mind that he killed a kid to his wife and then asked about his day; or that’s my big fear.
Easily, between military and LEO I guess I have over 43 notches on my belt. If you add in blowing up badguysin Nam, I am surely over 100 or more.
Its a question I asked myself many times. The answer is yes. I joined the military because I love my country and my family. If either is a risk I would do what eve it took to defend them both.Even if it meant giving my life. I'm a nonviolent person whoever if you are being shot at the is not one in their right minds that is no going to shoot back. My country and my family will was come first in my life. I believe that most people in the military feel the same way.
Yes, I would rather have my 4 legged land shark do my dirty work, but I would not hesitate in securing my life. If a dirtbag is out to kill me or someone, then he does not care about anything legal or right, so in that, I have 2 daughters (single parent) to come home to and support and provide for and as God is my witness, I will do whatever and use wahtever means to come home, becasue I do care what is right, and I do care about the innocent.
Yes, if I was a police officer.
Of course
Ummm...it would never become necessary in the performance of MY duties. But if you are asked that question in an employment interview, you'd better know the answer for yourself.
