I Live in pennsylvania.Am not sure how assistance works in pa?

I would like to know that if you have gotten assistance before, and if your not eligable for tanf program because you have a dr's form, but your not getting disability yet but have applied, when your assistance runs out can you re-apply? Or once youve been on 4 years are you done?Have a lawyer for disability but they havent been able to get me a case yet and Im afraid that if my assistance wheres off,Then im hanging with no income. If anyone knows about this please give me any info that will help.I Realize normal situations that you have to be off in 4 years or go through the TANF program if your able to work. But I have to have dr's signature yearly to recieve it.How long does it allow for?Any info will help.

Answer:
I believe that as long as you have an open case with disability, you can continue to receive benefits. Once you have exhausted all your appeals and still do not qualify for disability, then I believe they can cut you off. If you do get approved for disability and receive your back pay from them, you will have to pay welfare back for any cash assistance they gave you while you were in the process of getting disability.
