is this a lawsuit for violation of privacy arnt hotels required to provide some kind of safety?
I was staying with two of my girl friends in a hotel we have been stayin there for about a week and the ending night we were staying there we walk into the lobby and a man asked us what room we were in we refused to share them so the front desk clerk took it upon herself to tell him the number. about 3 min later we get a knock on the door, the man wanted to come in but we refused to agree to him in, then we called the front desk woman and told her not to give out our room number she called us back motto not to answer the door if a black man knocks on it!!! that she accidently let it slip out! he again returned this time even drunker and more angry.. he threatened us with a gun and we call to ask her to com talk to us down stairs because the lobby clerk was no where to be found. when she get down there we asked her to call the police and told the lady what have happened she said okay but she had to go find her shoes and purse from his room! and that she didnt know he was making threats but then also said that he had told her he have a gun. SHE DID NOT CALL THE POLICE instead called a private officer and left a msg. me and my friend called the police and arrest him and his friend the we be locked in the exercise room for 1 1/2 hours & during this time the girl thought it was hilarious making joke and laughing, she also brought the girl who was with the 2 gentlemen and put her brought her in the room near me and my 2 friends!! which caused problems, through all of this the manager be sleepin in room 107 right down the hall and was notify but NEVER GOT UP!!!! and later she had a older gentlemen who she said be "crazy" in there with us & give him our room number also she proceeded to tell us how crazy this man who was 3 times our age was & how he like to mess with younger girls. this man did later knock on our door saying the cops are gone its jus me & u come out and play! we be so scared we didn't stay that night. we notified her that we be leaving and i was leaving my stuff here not to move about in my room because a few nights before this my room be open! Is there a lawsuit here? violation of privacy?
Best Answer:
Talk to a advocate. Thats your best bet. If they kept you locked in the exercise room, then thats being detained against your will. Giving out your room number to strangers is endangerment. Make sure you enjoy names of the clerks, manager, and cops.
