It really depends on the employer and more importantly, what type of felony conviction. Manual labor and telemarketing are two fields you might have some luck next to.
Go to your state job service center. They own programs that allow the state to bond you so you can work for certain employers who accept bonded felon. You can probably find out about it online too. Good luck.
try warehouses. hot and heavy (sometimes cold and heavy). really, any sort of labor.
word of mouth, talk with friends and find an employer who understands how difficult it is to find employment for felon. good luck. Geesh, america is big having laws punishing culture long after they've done their time in prison. america needs to learn how to engage felons back into our society and stop punishing and start rehabilitating so we may become a healthy society and not this fractured dryad tale that separates loved ones , families and friends. felons are culture who did something wrong like the rest of us, they just got caught, Hmmm, very soon it's time to forgive and let them live as equals with us once again.
