A er doctor just old me i have genital warts can i sue?
The doctor said that they have been there for a while I just had a pap smear a month ago. And no body ever told me that I had it. What can I do.?
Pap smears test for abnormal cervical cells, nothing more than that. If you want an STD screening, you must tell your Doctor that so that additional swabs can be obtained. Genital warts don't always show up right away, so no, you cannot sue. Get treatment for the warts and make sure your partner is tested and treated as well.
I would find whoever gave them to you and kick their A_ _. You know that crap never gets cured, it goes away, but will always come back.

Well first of all your warts might not have been present at your regular doctor's visit. Plus pap smears usually don't test for genital warts, but for things like Chlamydia and Gonorrhea. So this being said, be thankful the ER doctor caught it and put you on meds to regulate it. Be more careful of who you have sex with too. Always protect yourself. You don't have a legitimate reason to sue.
Go to other doctors and get their opinion just to be sure. Plus, think about it. That maybe the reason no other doctor was able to tell you that you had it. Because it comes and goes. It is pretty sad that it has come to this where you can sue just if someone sneezes on you.
Take whatever meds the dr gave you and be a bit more picky with who you sleep with! Good Lord! Whose fault is it that you got them? YOURS!
well, you could sue the one who gave it to you if that person did not tell you that he had it.
but to sue the doc. only if the one who did the scan saw something and didn't tell you. that's called neglegence
the doc at the er was just doing his job.
No, you cannot sue. Genitl warts are an STD, and can appear any time, so your doc might be wrong.
