American gun laws are far to slack. Do they really a gun ???
The pro gun law Americans find every excuse in the book to have the 'right' to carry a gun. I am a 74 year old pro American brit but have never needed to use a gun. Have never killed anyone and always found better ways to protect myself.A guy wrote here that if bullets cost $5000 each the gunman in question would think a few times before he spent that lethal bullet. Now that makes sence..
I'm okay with people owning guns, but when they quote the Founding Fathers as justification, they need to remember what guns were like back then. Firing each shot was an ordeal. I don't think the Founding Fathers meant for people to have easy access to semi-automatic pistols with large clips.
Banning guns will not solve anything, if someone wants one they will get it anyways. Illegally! Don't take away the rights of average every day Americans. The U.S. is a very rural country as well, a lot of people here really enjoy sports involving weapons. None of who use the weapons for illegal purposes.
Thanks for your favorable opinion of the U.S. though.
Answer:
I think our gun laws are quite adequate, as intended, but the smell of an easy dollar usually drives one to circumvention of them. The rowdies and derelicts that should not be able to acquire a weapon easily do so, at a price. Present laws should be strictly and severely enforced.
This not the answer! We are a free country and used guns to form our country! The guy was crazy if not a gun he would have used a bomb.
We don't have to have an excuse to have a gun, somehting that you may not kow because you are a limy moron is that it's garaunteed in our constitution. I use a gun at least once a week if not more. I do a lot of hunting and one of my businesses involves using a gun! I have killed (Vietnam) and it was the only way to protect myself. I also have a permit to carry and that has not only protected me but two others in the last two years. Go back to your kool-aide and talk about something you have a clue to!
What you meant to say was 'To us Brits, American gun laws are far too slack.', didn't you?
Actually, to most of us Americans the gun laws are far too restrictive. And that is why they are continually being loosened despite the never-ending campaigns of a whole host of hand-wringing weak sisters.
See www.packing.org for more pertinent info.
The funny thing is that the Stats. support the pro gun position and totally refute the anti gun. But I've yet to see a lib that let facts get in the way of a good feeling.
We don't need an excuse. The Second Amendment to our Constitution guarantees us the right to bear arms
if u outlaw guns then only outlaws will have guns
Our Founding Fathers weren't about to let any government, including our own, disarm the people, and it is justly so. If your country and others allowed their governments to dictate that they cannot freely own or use weapons, then sorry about your luck.
I don't think you are real.At 74 you should know better then to come up with such nonsense!
Being 74 years old I'm pretty sure you can be a reasonable person. You probably know the economy in America is cruel to some, and great for others. Did you know that some lower and middle class families feed their children by hunting?
