My husband is wanting to relinquish his parental rights. how can we do that?
We have just found out that his son isn't actually his. Instead of dragging the child and his mother through court we be hoping just to be able to relinquish his parental rights. They were divorced contained by Hawaii, but she now lives in Wisconsin. We have no hypothesis where to start.
Best Answer:
Your local court house would know how to give you the proper forms.
You can start with a lawyer that specializes in clan law. It will have to be done through the courts. And terminating his rights will not relieve him of child support. That would be a separate issue.
uh...without a corrected paternity statement, he'll still be on the hook no matter what he give up. You need a lawyer or a sit down with a negotiator from your local Children's services center.
