Is getting back child support possible? In ANY way?


My son was conceived in February 2003, he was born October 2003. His father considered necessary a paternity test, which I had NO problem with, considering that we be not married/together. He ordered one from on-line, a home DNA mouth swab test. We both did it, and sent it in, and it came vertebrae that he was NOT the father. I was stumped, tested someone else (through FL state), he was not the father. I have no idea what to do for 4 years. Until I decided to go through the state of NY for a paternity interview, and have it professionaly done. It came back saw that guy #1 was the father. I was floored and stumped on how the home test come back saying he wasn't. Now he pays child support every month, $400, and then owes almost 6ish months in arrears, they said they could ONLY go after him for when Ii filled for child support/paternity. What more or less 4 years of child support? Medical bills, daycare, and all of that? Is there ANYTHING I can do? Either he tampered beside the test, or the company did.

No, you can only collect from filing, not hindmost to conception. When you decided to do a home test instead of going through the courts, you made a bad ruling, the consequences of which are all those missed child support payments. Unfortunately, sometimes you are unaware that it's a bad outcome at the time, and sometimes you are unaware of the consequences. But you have to live with the consequences, none the smaller quantity.
