Do I need a lawyer? (if your a lawyer please answer)?

I was at sporting event (MMA kinda of like a boxing event) me and my friend were seated near the locker room and I had been drinking, I was yelling at the ring but one of the fighters in the locker room thought I was insulting him which resulted in us being kicked out of the event so they rudly escorted us out even shoving my friend who was trying to guild to the car and calm me down, the head security officer saw that I was driving and he knew I had been drinking so he called the police so I got out of the car and had my friend drive, we were parallel parked very close to another car and my friend bumped it, the the security officer then jumped in front of the moving vehicle and another jumped in a took the keys, we stayed there until the police arrived we told them what happened and they gave my friend a field sobriety test which he showed no signs of intoxication but they took him to jail anyways for DUI without giving him a breathalyzer even after we requested one. wat should I do?
It doesn't sound like you need one, it sounds like your friend needs one to fight the DUI.
get a lawyer
your question is too short and not enough details.
You need an English teacher

Answer:
I would get a lawyer. Although state laws vary on this, I know in CA that the police cannot issue a DUI unless a police officer witnesses the act of operating a motor vehicle under the influence (and yes, keys in the ignition counts in most states). However, if it was just a security guard that saw you trying to drive the car, you would have a pretty good argument for not having been issued a DUI in the first place. However, regarding the breathalyzer, it is up to the officer's discretion. If they determine it would be pointless (i.e. it's obvious that you are drunk) then they are under no obligation do the test.
you need a lawyer...
Yes. Get a lawyer.
bail him out, get him a criminal lawyer, and forget about it.
Are you being charged with anything? If its just your friend being charged he needs to get an attorney not you. Also, refuse to speak to anyone unless you are put under arrest and don't say anything without an attorney. The reason being you don't want to say anything incriminating against yourself or your friend. If you have been charged with anything get an attorney now, if not, again just remain silent unless the DA or police want to question you or place you under arrest. Do not think you can contact the police or prosecutor and explain yourself to get your friend off the hook, it wont work, just let your friends attorney do the talking. If he thinks you can add anything to your friends defense he will contact you.
