Is it illegal?
for a 14-year-old to go out with someone 18 or over? what baout sex? and if it is illegal, why is this? I mean i know because it's considered if you're under 18 you're a minor. but why do we have laws like that? what if two people really love each other..?? and i know you will say 'you're young you don't know what love is..' but in my eyes you're never too young to be in love..and if you do go out with an 18year-old and you are a minor., how do you not get caught? and if you do get caught what are the consequences?
Do you think he loves you? Heh. The thing about being that young is that one end up not knowing the difference of 'love' and just plain 'lust'. But, who cares. Potato, potato.
Have you ever heard the term Jail Bait? You have just described a great example for the 18 year old.
When I was 14 I dated a guy that was 18.......We were together for almost 2 years. I thought I was totally in love. Head over heels. As time went on though things got really bad because he thought he had an upper hand.........I would advise you to seriously think about it. If he was treating you bad would you have the guts to tell someone? Think of all the consequences......please...do not let your first love turn into a bad one.
.....
at 14 you don't know what you're doing when it comes to relationships...i thought i knew too and i remember saying the exact same thing you're saying right now...but now i realize that i was just being a typical teenager...
and at 14 you should not be having sex....at least wait until you're 16 or 17....
Answer:
IF going out means going out and having a nice time, then no it is not illegal.
IF you mean that you wish to engage in sexual intercourse then it is highly illegal and you are setting your 'love' up for MAJOR trouble. Not the kind that 'mommy kisses' can make go away, but rather the kind of trouble that Big Charlie on the bottom bunk can give!
Do you understand?
It is illegal simply because at the age of 14, any person, male or female does not know their own mind. It is the law to prevent (as much as possible) 15 year old mothers.
You keep from getting caught by not being stupid.
Watch Dateline's To Catch A Predator.
If it were ok, none of these people would be on national television.
While I agree that a14 or 15 year old can be in love, it is still a learning effort.
If you are still dating him when you are 18 and he is 22, (with a steady job) then I say Go for a wedding.
BUT, I am sure that within 1 year, you will have broken up and moved on to your next love.
Save yourself much heartache (and him having his colon stretched) and do not set him up for a 10 year 8'X10' cell.
you're 14, you just put your barbies down and now you're in love .? c'mon.... are you kidding.?
there's no way you're in love.
and what the hell's wrong wit that guy .? 18 and dating a little girl .? something wrong is happening to our society.
Dating between a 14 year old and an 18 year old is not illegal, just generally frowned upon. The age of consent for sexual activity is set by each State (in the USA) and is not universally 18. Most States have set the age of consent above 14 and, in such States, the scenario you describe would be a felony for the 18 year old and could result in imprisonment. Society sets the age of consent because its members believe people under that age are generally too immature and inexperienced to understand the likely consequences of their actions. Setting an age limit is easier than examining the maturity levels of the individuals on a case by case basis. Love and Sex are two different things. Providing information on how to get away with a crime could subject the provider of the information to a charge of conspiracy.
it is illegal but what are you doing wanting sex when you are 14 your shouldn't have sex till you are married and ready to support a child and birth controls don't always work and haven't you heard about ads there are so many things wrong with what you want to do and don't think I'm being mean i am just telling the brutal truth
It's not illegal to date. It is to have sex with someone under 18 and you're 18.
They have laws like that to keep molesters from getting off imminently. Now, if you give full consent, you might have a smaller chance, but I doubt it.
The consequences; usually 5-10 plus a fine and you're added on a Sex Offender watch list.
