How do I file a compaint on my ex employer for the better business bureau?

State: Wisconsin
Reason: Left me with no contact (and still none) about my employment status after I moved out of town. Sent me a check with 28hrs instead of the 33 I reported and he had someone else write a little note saying he wanted the company cards back. He didnt even have the balls to do that. And even though I have another full time job, can I get compensation with unemployment? I would like to file a compaint against this asshole.
contact the better buisness bureau at bbb.org
First of all the Better Business Bureau has nothing to do with this situation. In fact, they have no power at all. So your complaints would be worthless.

Also, except for the payment for hours, you have no claim for anything legally. So, if you want to file a frivilous complaint and open yourself to litigation of libel go right ahead.

As for the payment of hourly wages, that is a determination of the state Department of Labor so you will have to file a complaint there.

And finally, as for the unemployment, again, if you want to file a fraudulent claim that is your right. Just remember there is a civil and jail penalty for doing so.

Answers:
You cannot file for unemployment when you leave a job voluntarily. The BBB is not in the business of handling employer/employee relations, it is a consumer complaint bureau.

Check with the EEOC:

I can not give any factual advice on unemployment, but the state will have records on hours worked since this has to be reported for tax purposes.

I guessing the cards you are referring to are Company ID's. Most businesses state that these must be surrendered upon termination. That request is not out of line.

Did you punch a time card? You have a right to inspect that card for errors.
