What are some reasons we need the patriot act?

The Patriot act does NOT reduce terrorism, what kind of logic is that, over some PROOF, you can't because it doesn't, what it does do is allow Government to encroach on our already eroding Civil Liberties, as a matter of fact a recent report shows the Feds have violated the very law themselves, how comforting huh?

Personally i dont think that we need it at all because it's an invasion of your personal freedoms.
