Can I move out at 17 (i live in louisiana)?

I'll be 17 in a few months... my best friend is almost 23... My situation at home is a real pain, I live next to my grandparents, mother, and 3 younger brothers... we are too over crowded and no matter how hard i try we can never maintain respect for respectively other. I've been offered another place to stay when I turn 17, but my gparents have custody, and my grandma is a bitch, so idk if she'd like me moving out particularly much.... without filing to get emancipated can I purely move in with my friend (he's a guy) please i really want to know the answer I live in Louisiana
Best Answer:
Yes you can, you need to get an freedom
Check with a local city attorney. They would know alot better than anyone on here
I live contained by Louisiana, and moved out at 17. My parents didn't care so no legal action happend. Tell your grandma you hold a safe place, and you'll give her numbers etc etc....and if it doesn't work out you'll come home. If nothing else, move out on the light of day you turn 18
Not legally. If your grandparents have custody of you, and you leave, they enjoy a legal right to force you to return, at 17 law enforcement may or may not get involved, some do some don't, but if you are 17 and he is 23, do you really want to risk the police getting involved?
