Acoustic weapons law?

With the rise in popularity of acoustic weapons for law enforcement, military and security (eg. http://www.atcsd.com/site/content/view/2... ) many countries now have laws to prevent people in the general community from possession of such a device.

I was interested in a clarification of this law, so I contacted the state weapons registry (run by police) in the state where I live. They gave me the impression, that the spirit of this law, or the main objective, is to prevent the type of acoustic weapons which are used by police, from being owned by people in the general community. Which seems quite reasonable. Also a violation of this law will result in 2 years imprisonment.

I wasn`t aware of that law; I think my wife could be guilty of causing `disorientation and total incapacity,` when she starts nagging even the birds keep quiet and animals refuse to come within 500 yards of the house.
A police car did arrive once but they also were too scared to even ring the doorbell.
Better to be seen and not heard then !
