when should i hire a lawyer?
I was arrested by the feds 2 months ago for selling .250g of cocaine to an fed CI. I received a complaint, but have not be charged with anything. I have a court appointed lawyer right know but im going near a private. My question is should I wait to get formally charge, or should I hire my advocate right now? The problem im having is that I talk to 2 laywer and they both ask for $7500 start. When I ask what will be the total they both vote it depends on the charges. So what will happen if I run out of money and the case still going?

i don't see why the feds would want to gamble away their time on a quarter gram of coke but if you've got the money then have a private attorney make some calls and see if it can be resolved over the phone. i am totally anti-cocaine and if it was me i would turn surrounded by the dealer and be done with it.
