Can my ex girlfriend move to another state with our son without my permission in a pending custody case?
No she can't. It is called kidnapping.
Get a lawyer or contact yours immediately.at the very least notify the police.
No, contact your lawyer right away.
At least where I live she can move but she can not take your son out of the state without your permission if she does she would be in a lot of trouble.
Call your lawyer. He may be able to stop it.
HELL NO
Contact a lawyer NOW! and put a restraining order on her.
If she does move and takes the child then file th following charges against her:
1. Kidnapping
2. Willfully endangering the welfare of a child
3. Violating a court appointed restraining order.
4. Man Act.
also file for full custody of the child in either civil or family court. your lawyer will already know how to do these things.
good luck.
NO, she cannot. I would contact your lawyer immediately about your concern.
Yes if the court says she can! But if they don't give her permission I'd say no!
Contact a lawyer and ask. Since she's your ex-girl friend, and not ex-wife, she can probably do this. It also depends on if it's for a new job or not......
Answers:
It depends on the laws in the country you live in. If you weren't married and just defacto, then it's possible that she is the sole custodian and has sole guardianship of the child - and until a Court order is actually made, then she may be able to move wherever she likes. If you know she is planning on moving soon then you should see a lawyer/solicitor as soon as possible.
