if I am under aged working in a place where they sell alcohol isn't that against the law?
No I don't think it is against the law I was a minor working in a grocery store and we sold alcohol. That was many years ago laws change.
Not where I live. You can sell it and serve it but not drink it.
It depends upon the Laws and ordinances of the particular city, county, state, that you are employed. They can all vary a great deal.
i know in illinois, if you dont handle the alcohol at all, there is no age you have to be to work around it.
To serve, as in a waitress taking a beer from the bar to a table, you have to be 18.
To pour or make drinks, you have to be 21.
No as long as you don't serve it.
No, you could be a cook or dishwasher. You're not allowed to serve it thats all
In states like Ohio, you are not even allowed to touch a bottle, since we all know touching the bottle and becoming an alcoholic are the same thing. In New Jersey, even if you are under 21, you can still sell it and/or bartend.
Point being, even in Ohio, where laws are stupid, alcohol is sold in grocery markets where minors work. So the answer is no, it is not illegal. Why do you want to know?
No not if you are not working directly with the liquor
Answers:
Not usually. You can sell it, you just can't consume it. That's called capitalism.
It depends on your state.
In most places you can work there as long as you do not sell or serve the liquor.
