i think the money should be the last thing on your mind
Answer:
Hi Hapa,
Please accept my condolences on your tragic loss.
There are a number of issues here, it is a matter of what the insurance company offer in settlement and what you are prepared to accept.
You have a child, therefore the welfare and future needs of the child must be given full consideration. One cannot put a price on the life of a loved one but it has to be done. Talk to a solicitor and get them to handle it. They will advise you of a reasonable settlement.
Good luck.
im really sorry to hear that, and i think the compo should be for you to build you and your child a good life.
Is the child yours??
Not sure you should be focusing on that.....
It should be whatever your contract says it is.
No more, no less.
Get a lawyer. Listen to your lawyer's advice. There are always circumstances that change the result. Your question sounds of morality and justice. Unfortunately, that's not how this works. The question is not what do we think the compensation should be, but rather, if you fail to settle, what is the average jury likely to award you.
