No concessions for ANY illegal aliens. Why do Americans think exceptions should be made?

Illegal is illegal - if you make exceptions for a group of people, you are telling them 'It's okay to break the law here, we will change it for you.' And don't give me the excuse they take jobs that US citizens won't that's crap. There are as many illegals is good-paying jobs as those getting minimum wage.
Not all Americans think concessions should be made. Please don't generalize.

But I do believe we should make it easier for folks to come legally. Not only do we remove the temptation of engaging in illegal enterprises less appealling, since they'll be able to find legitimate work, but we can tax 'em, too.
I agree. If we got rid (deported) the illegals we would have far fewer people on Social Security while forming part of the 'black economy' (claiming benefits while working on a cash-in-hand, i.e. pay no taxes etc., basis). Send them back to where they came from.
Not ALL Americans believe in making exceptions for illegals. We did that once already, and see what it got us? Personally, I think that any person crossing the border without going through a proper checkpoint should be shot on sight. They are invading our country. That is an act of war.

There should be no exceptions. Period. I say round up the ones who are here and ship them back to where they came from. They are a drain on our economy. I see them all the time sending most of their paycheck back to their families in Mexico. They live 20 or so to a house, so it's not like they're helping the real estate market. They're digging through dumpsters behind the grocery store adn the thrift store, looking for usable food and clothes. They're riding bicycles. Get rid of them and close the borders.
He is just trying to keep his 20 million voters in line. The man has got to be Impeached.

unless you are 100% american indian, an exception was made to allow your ancestors to enter this country. there are plenty of jobs out there. if an american citizen is really wanting a job, there's one out there. it may not be the one he wants but there are jobs. the jobs that these immigrants are taking are the ones that americans feel they are too good to do. they take low paying jobs to help support their families back home. how can you fault someone for wanting to make a better life for their family? you could have just as easily been born south of the border. we need to practice tolerance in this country.
Americans make concessions to illegal immigrants out of respect for basic human rights and dignity. This respect for their fellow men lead Americans to offer emergency health care, schooling for children (who can't be faulted for their parent's illegality), protection of the law and police/ fire/ etc (under the premise that no one can kill anyone whether they're legal immigrants or not).

Naturally, as you complain, respecting others makes trouble for you. It could be better for the US economy if illegal immigrants were treated as less-than-human. Of course, doing that would wreak havoc on the conscience of the average American and probably utterly destroy whatever international credibility the US has abroad left, not to mention the damage to the legitimacy of the government domestically.

Wow. I thought I was one of the rare few that thought this. Good to hear the tide is turning.
Native Americans, LEGAL immigrants and citizens of the USA must follow the laws of this country. If we don't we get punishment for it. They are illegal from the minute they cross that border. Then they want AMNESTY? Why?!! They broke the damn law!! They should be harshly fined and DEPORTED!!

Our country was formed from immigrants, we didn't have immigration laws then, later the laws we had were not enforced ,but, they were not abused in such large numbers as the Mexicans are abusing them, now. That was then, this is now, we enforce those laws, now. ALL illegal immigrants should be deported, not just one minority.
It is because the ones that want the illegals here are the ones that own business's and want the cheap labor.
Think about this: how much are you willing to PAY to round up and deport all those people? ELEVEN *MILLION* people. How much crime are you willing to let slip while law enforcement is rounding up illegals? How much are you willing to pay for all the meals, jails, vehicles, drivers and other things necessary to get 11m people from one country to another all at the same time?

Why not do this? Why not go around your own town and start investigating businesses that might hire illegals. If you're ok with your favorite restaurant closing or construction work stalling for lack of workers, fine. I think that conservatives need to back up their words and start policing the business community themselves if they believe in this issue. Let's see what happens.

'As many illegals getting good jobs as getting minimum wage': no way. Illegals generally have no skills and very minimum education. Where do those people (Americans) in your town get jobs? Do they have sweet, well-paying jobs? I think not. (Plus many immigrants don't speak the language. What good-paying job doesn't involve knowing the language? Most non-verbal jobs are back-breaking labor.)
