I need some help on 1040A form for economic stimulus payment!?
I have 2 simple questions.
You know, for the economic stimulus wage form 1040A, I have checked my grandma as "single" and for the exemptions part, I marked her "yourself" which is number 6a. On the far right on the form it say "boxes checked on 6a and 6b" so since I checked 6a, do I put "1" on that box on the far right, and then on the bottom where it says "append numbers on live above" I put "1" also? I know, it's easy stuff, but just wanted to trade name sure!
Also, this may be a stupid question, and again just wanted to product sure...but when you write the amounts of money on the form that looks something like this _____|__
When you see that, do you enter the amount, and does that dash mean separating the amounts from the cents....approaching if I were to put 3000 dollars, do I put it like this...3000|00 or do I put it like this 3000.00|__ and freshly leave the last part blank. Again, newly like to make sure about these things! Thank you!!!
On the right "Boxes checked in 6a nd 6b" equals 1.
Add numbers on lines above = 1
Dollars/cents.
Yes you put a one here also and when you enter the money amounts in the first way with the dollars on the one side and cents on the other. You've answered adjectives of your questions correctly, to include the vertical bar separating the dollars and cents. $3,000.00 dollars would be written as 3000l00.
Dollars | cents
Item 6d, total number of exemptions, "Add numbers on lines above", put 1.
