How does a person convicted of a felony obtain employment with all the discriminatory background checks? ?


EVERY LIVING BREATHING BREATHING BEING has broken some sort of law...... the only ones to really suffer are the ones to seize caught... the criminal law handbooks are so thick a big and full of law that literally no one is 'legally innocent' ..... But when does the punishment stop for those who have served their sentence and been released? Why do the hold to pay forever and ever by not being able to get your hands on employment? Doesn't that just lead to a worse rate of recidivism? Intelligent answers only..... Please.....

Because some empire believe in rehabilitation and second chances. I would hire a felon. I know a few people that hold a felony against them and they now have good job and are role model citizens. The past is the past. Now you should look at some of the sex offenders and see if you regard they should all be treated or categorized the same - THAT is not right. (And I am neither a felon or sex offender.)
If you were convicted of something that you thought be not against the law, then you have something to complain roughly speaking. Never met anyone convicted of a felony who didn't know their conduct was a crime. Background checks are indeed discriminatory, but they are quite legal, as are most forms of nouns. It is generally recognized that the best indicator of current character is previous conduct. All that being said, it is indeed possible for felons to get job. First thing is to get the chip off your shoulder. Be up front. The employer is concerned something like your character, so address that. Be willing to start at the bottom and to demonstrate that hiring you was a perfect decision. I know several felons that did just that and presently have excellent jobs. Others have tried the self-employment route. In certainty, the only real millionaire that I know well is a felon who started a home cleaning business.
Background checks are segment of the corporate take over of America. In some ways you can't blame them. Generally, once a crook who has served prison time, is always a crook that will spend time surrounded by prison. And employees are generally responsible for the greatest amount of theft within any industry. Thus we are at this point now, where a company wants to know everything almost a person so that they can make sure that they are getting a good hire. The single thing a convicted felon can do, is be eager to have employment, engender a good impression on the hiring manager, recognize their past mistakes publically and don't hide from their past, and work complicated once the opportunity is given. Then expect to have someone watching them over their shoulder for a long time, until trust and respect is earned.
i hope that this is a polite answer and that it helps. being that i have a criminal situation, a felony and misdemeanors; from my experiences, i would reply in this manner, it seems that when one serves a sentence(s) one is punished more so largely because he or she is trying to make a change for the good. it is resembling accepting christ, once one does, most christians will tell you that it does not mean that life is going to be easier. however, if one is sincere something like changing one's life, one might become and expert on good behavior and achieve goals that are worth while. to illustrate, i also noticed that starting a good job is harder, but i have to look at my weaknesses. such as: before i started getting into trouble, i hold not had a steady work history or a college degree. therefore, i want that one thing i will do to improve my work situation is attend college. since the government will earnings for one college degree, i will seek a degree contained by a particular field, and i will work full time while i attend school, and i share in internships in the field that i study surrounded by so that it will not be hard to find a job when my college experience is over. last, i will be severely careful about who i socialize with. surrounded by other words, i will not give in to pier pressure from anyone of any age. i am determined to stay on the right track. get to know population before you call them a friend. i hope this answer helps.
