What court hearings/cases can the public go to?
I want to go and sit in some court rooms and hear some cases. I don't know which ones I can go into. I live in Virginia and know that if it is an open case it is open to the public but how can you tell/know if it is or not and if they change it to a closed case how will I know?
Answer:
Go to any courthouse and go into any court. Only juvenile and cases closed by the judge for special reasons are not open to the public. If the court is closed for that reason, there will be a sign or a court officer will tell you it is closed. If it gets closed after you have entered, all the people except those connected to the case will be asked to leave.
Be prepared to be bored.
Listen to 'thy lawyer'---he's right.
