Just a question about Zoning laws involving RV's (campers)?
I done some research and couldn't find anything, I was wondering if in the state of Ohio, City; Mansfield, If it is illegal to live surrounded by in RV (camper) On someones property; For example in a relatives or close friends back patio.
Best Answer:
"CARS, TRUCKS, and OTHER VEHICLES: May be parked on a public street, unless otherwise prohibited, but must be kept in operable and licensed condition. Vehicles may be parked on private property in designated parking areas only, such as developed driveways, and must be operable and licensed. A vehicle may not be parked surrounded by a front yard or in a manner that blocks sidewalks, streets, or alleys." http://www.ci.mansfield.oh.us/building_codes/codes__3.htm Based on that, I would hold to say no, unless it was a sizable property with developed parking surrounded by the rear, such as a gravel or concrete driveway on which to park.
You would have to check local bylaws. Rural property will have different rules than surrounded by the city. Most cities won't allow it for a long period of time. It will also depend on neighbors, most bylaw officers won't respond unless there is a complaint.
