In the State of New Jersey how could I get my ex's rights revoked?

My ex-boyfriend the father of our three kids ages 3-8-11; haven't seen them since JUNE! I haven't gotten a payment since AUG. 18 2006. of 47.39....this is our payment history( LAST PAYMENT $47.39 08/18/2006; FIRST PAYMENT $76.00 08/11/2006)these payments where garnished from his paychecks. NOW the problem is I don't know where he lives his last known whereabouts was BROWNMILLS NJ.

I AM TIRED OF THIS GAME HE PLAYS OF DISAPPEARING!! I WANT TO KNOW WHAT I CAN DO????

My husband whom I got married to in NOV of 06 wants to adopt my kids for his own without not knowning his whereabouts it's impossible!!

IS there any legal statue that I can take to prevent him from seeing his kids for ONE he's a heavy drugs user!! TWO a violent drunk!! THREE as you can tell doesn't like to work and support his kids!!

PLEASE I don't know what to do here or where to turn. I have very little income my husband works to pay the bills but that's as far as I money will allow to do!!
PLEASE HELP!!!!!
Why in heck did you ever bear 3 kids
with such a loser? You don't seem to be
a person with good judgment. I wouldn't
want to ever see that 'lover' you had. You got
yourself into this mess and deserve to
not get a penny. Thank God that some
good man would even marry you with 3
illegitimate kiddies and pay your bills.
Perhaps you too could go to work and
bring in a second paycheck to help out.
Call your nearest Legal Aid office and ask for an appointment. Hopefully, they can guide you. They charge according to income.

Answer:
You need a lawyer to epresent your interests. Some family court programs may provide you with free lawyer support, go to your local court house and inquire about the suppot.

You have several issues to resolve. 1) How can you force your support be paid. The Judge can impose fines and jail time on your ex. He can force his appearance in court. He can issue a bench warrant for contempt is he ignores the notice to appear. 2) You require sole legal and sole physical custody of the children. If your ex has abandoned the kids, has legal trouble or drug trouble, you can petition the court to award you these parental rights. If the court does so then he looses all parental rights, except what is granted by the court in visitation, and you do as you please with the kids including location and home choice.

You need to get a alwyer and use the system to protect the childrens best interest, the courts primary concern, and you parental rights.
First, do you have proof of your claims against the children's father? You can go to court to try to get back child support but there's also some really good organizations that will help you track down the father and get child support from him. You can always do some online research to find out what you can do. I'm sure there's plenty of ways to get around it. Just take your time and be level headed about it.
Your husband can adopt without knowing where your ex is, they will have something put in the paper...like a summons. If he doesn't respond then too bad. Unfortunely you may have to go thru a lawyer for this. and in some states you have to be married for 2 years before one can adopt. But a lawyer would be your best move. Some offer a free one hour consultation. Look in the yellow pages.
First off, in almost every state, he can have a warrent issued for his arrest if he skips child support payments. Also, if you ex is a heavy drug user and a violent drunk, almost every court in the nation will not let him go within 100ft of your kids. You shouldn't have too many concerns about custody b/c the father skiped child support and is abusive. Your best off consulting a lawyer. Laws do vary from state to state. Here in Maryland, your ex would probably be facing a prison time for skipping the payments.
