A brochure at a sex store had 2 photos of me w/digital enhancement promo the clubw/out my knowledge or permis.

i recognized myself, although they used a fake name, i was mortified was this defamation of charactor, and It was used to profit. I know who did it and I would like to sue, I had no knowledge of this and would like to know what my options are i.e. sue? I am sure this can harm my charactor if i wanted to get married some day.
Your should sue for a lot of $$$ cause they had no right using those photos.
I do believe you may own that company
Sue them to clean your name baby. I'm sure you'll win your case if you gave no permission to them to use your picture. It's defamation and it's degrading if it's found and being used to promote that sex shop. Think about your future if it happens that will someday you decide to marry and over all your reputation. I want you to have enough courage to sue whoever is behind that. Good luck.
You probably have a valid suit. But consider this. If nobody knows it is you, you have not been damaged much. However, if you sue, now everybody (friends, family, coworkers, future employers, future spouse) will all know about the details of what ever events lead up to your image being used as a promo for a sex store.

You may want to to take action quietly to have them cease pull the image and not use it again, but file something with the court and your repuation will be destroyed.

Aside from the SUE-happy answers, no one can give you a valid answer unless you impart a few facts.

Like did you ever work for the company/club and if so what capacity? Did you ever sit for modelling photos or other types of photos and if so, did you sign (and KEEP a copy) of a release?

You know, the kinds of answers an attorney like me would ask before taking on a case like this?
If indeed your likeness has been used without your permission and (obviously) paints you in an unsavory light, You REALLY must get an attorney to represent your interests (assuming you wish to pursue the matter.) There is an old adage about legal (or any) advice...It is only worth so much as you are willing to pay...In other words, if an attorney, upon hearing your story, is willing to take your case based on a contingency of payment (that is to say, only if your case results in a $ award) go for it. Otherwise, walk away from it. Blessings...
