How long does a felony go back before a company can use it against u?
I am going to college in the medical field today my instructor pulled me aside and said to me that i have to felony one is 14 years old and the other one is 7 years old well will be 7 june 30 but the medical area might not except me cause of those felonies can they do that i thought after 7 years they cant use that against you i live in michigan please someone assist me out
A felony on your record at any time can be used against you at any time. Sorry. You could try to go and get the record expunged, especially if you have had a verbs record since then.
I live surrounded by Michigan too, and I have two midemeanors
I spoke to someone at my college and he said, for the nursing field for example, there is a loaf time before you can be certified and get your license. This may be applicable to your career. Call the board, i.e., medical board, etc and see what they will and will not adopt. When i got my DUI, my lawyer told me he has help ppl get there medical license who have a criminal story. So worst come to worst, guess you can get a lawyer. everyone does stupid things when they are young I dont hold flonies but I still have qwite theinteresting record and i got adjectives mine expunged... No one can find them.. sumtimes they can see y got arrested for something but then all you gotta voice is the case was dismissed
Felony records are forever, and can be used in a background check for as long as they are on your copy. If you want them gone you have to go through the expungment process to clear your record. Sorry, aspiration I had better news, the 7 year rule is a myth, and that doesn't even apply to credit reports, those can use bad information for 10 years.
