what is the lease amount of hours your employer can give you by law if your full time?
in Las Vegas Nevada am full time but i normally get at lease fifty hours a week. and know their trying to cut me stern to lease then 30 hours what should i do

My employer (with about 40,000 employees) just give a course on this to all of its employees about a week ago. There are no US law which govern the amount of hours that an employer can give to an employee (minimum or maximum). The laws with the sole purpose stipulate how the employer must compensate the employee for hours worked. If your hours & income are diminishing, you may be able to collect a small amount from the welfare office while you work. Aside from the ruling, if your employer is decreasing your hours to less than full time, your access to benefits thru your employer may change.
