In India , why the bank people torn the fake currency from any of his poor costumer without investigation.?
the poor costumers characteristic is he is illerate not knowing about to find out items to be checked for currency note, and unknown about the legal happening in this way the poor person is a victim of governments apathy to have a good control over fake currency
Very simple...ignorance of law does NT exist and it can't be your best defence...All over the world- destroy fake cur ency in front of the client that will bring it in...because it is very simple if the Bank will return the fake cur ency to the poor customer ....simply he or she will try to pass it some place else. And do not worry when a Bank client brings fake cur ency to the bank after the client leaves..the bank has all the information they need in the client's file to notifie authorities...and soon or later an investigation will start if he or she is a repeater against this individual.
one should be rude and evil (atleast a little),for the better good...
the govt in other words the rbi strictly prohibits the echange of fake currency. the banks r the first institutions to maintain the laws of rbi.they are ones who resemble rbi. thus they have to uphold its laws irrespective of kindness!
this is a part of govt control
if the banks accepts, then there may be a chance of currupt bank official who can exchage these notes creating an economic and financial chaos!
Answer:
The possessor of fake notes is liable in the eyes of law. Instead of destroying any fake note, the Bank can emboss a FAKE/COUNTERFEIT stamp on the fact of a fake note and return the same to the person. Since the 'poor' person will never be able to encash the 'value' of a fake note, rather, can be legally punished for possessing a fake note, the Bank people used to light & destroy the same and thus protect the 'poor' people from being punished.
IT IS A CRIME TO BE IN POSSESSION OF FAKE CURRENCY. TILL PROVED INNOCENT THE POSSESSOR WILL BE CHARGED WITH THE CRIME. SO BETTER TO TEAR IT RATHER FACE PROSECUTION.
your observation on poor being illiterate is not always true. india's big fat dishonest people are seen flourishing while the honest literate people are becoming jobless and poorer. The banks are the official channel for the Big fat dishonest businessmen, politicians, judges, bureaucrats, erstwhile maharajas, nawabs etc etc to deraud the nation. therefore the characteristics seen in indian banks in their dealings to poor is as expected.we the people can change the system. bankers will follow suit.
As per rule, bank should call police. You are lucky that your note is torned. I faced the same problem in SBI 110063 and bank kept my note on heater. Loss of value of note is nothing as compared to harassment by police.
I endorse your views. Laws are made for men & men are not made for Laws !!. Let the Government put its iron hand on people engaged in fake currency printing.Poor people should not suffer !
Bank staff could be charged with destroying evidence.Somebody has to register FIR
