What if you have been evicted for nonpayment of rent only to find out that they got your moneyorder?

We've missed work, and suffered emotionally and financially
by paying application fees, deposits for new utilities and new
apartment deposite and rental
you must have got a reciept for your money order ,that must be enough show them better than spending more money on sueing. good luck.
Call a lawyer you know and respect. You may have a case for unlawful eviction ... plus the rent money they took from you. But you better be able to prove all of this - with documentation, receipts, etc. - and your record as a tenant better be clean as a whistle. I wouldn't count on getting any monetary compensation for your new rental, deposits, and utilities, unfortunately.

Answer:
Sue for wrongful eviction. Keep very accurate records of all losses and expenses.
