How do you convince a teacher to write about child abuse?

My teacher thinks that child abuse is not a worthy topic to write a paper about human rights because she says that everyone is against it but the piece is that they are still doing that even though it is against the law..anyways how do I convince my teacher?

That isn't a good topic to write on because even though it happen it is still against the normal behavior for our culture so in theory your argument is moot.

Pull up some articles on Caylee Anthony and Sandra Cantu. The more specifically talked about on child abuse the better. It have to be kept in the open to, perhaps, stop some of it from continuing.
